This policy explains what we collect to run EasyRentWheels and who we share it with.

Information we collect
Account details: name, email, phone, role (renter, vendor, admin), and password hashes. Guest bookings: name, email, and mobile used at checkout. Vendor KYC: identity and business documents you upload for admin review. Vehicle listings: photos, description, pricing, terms, city/state, pickup address, and map coordinates. Bookings: dates, amounts, payment mode (Full or Partial), PayU transaction references, handover images and notes, extra charges, reviews, disputes, and chat messages. Usage: session cookies (access token and role), search location preferences, and optional browser push subscription. We do not store full card numbers; PayU processes cards and UPI.
How we use data
We use this information to create accounts, verify vendors, approve vehicles, calculate quotes, process bookings and payouts, send transactional email/SMS (OTP, payment receipts, status links), show notifications and chat, prevent fraud, and operate admin tools. Pickup maps and host contact details are shown according to booking status (for example, exact pickup after host confirmation; some renter contact is visible to vendors only after the trip is completed).
Sharing
We share booking details needed to fulfil the rental with the other party (renter or vendor). Payment processors (PayU), email/SMS providers, Amazon S3 (images), and maps providers receive only what they need to provide their service. Search results hide vendor business names and street addresses until the booking flow allows them. We do not sell personal data for third-party marketing.
Retention and your rights
We keep booking, KYC, and payment records as needed for operations, disputes, and legal requirements. You may request access, correction, or deletion subject to those requirements by emailing support@easyrentwheels.com. You can sign out, clear site data, and disable browser notifications from your account and browser settings.
