Terms of use
These terms describe how renters and vendors use the EasyRentWheels marketplace. They summarise how the product works; they are not a substitute for applicable law.

1. Platform role
EasyRentWheels is a peer-to-peer vehicle rental marketplace in India. We connect renters with independent vehicle owners (vendors). We provide listing search, booking, PayU checkout for the online amount, chat, notifications etc. We are not the vehicle owner unless a listing explicitly says otherwise. The rental contract for the trip is between renter and vendor, subject to these platform rules and the listing’s terms.
2. Accounts
Renters and vendors register with name, email, and Indian mobile number. Signup is verified with a one-time password (OTP). Email and phone must be unique. You are responsible for activity on your account. Vendors complete KYC; admin approval is required before vehicles can be added. Guest checkout creates or links a user record for that booking only and does not log you into a full session until you register or sign in.
3. Listings and rental compliance
Vendors must list roadworthy, legally registrable vehicles they are entitled to rent, with accurate photos, pricing, location, and terms. Vehicles appear in search only after admin approval and while vendor KYC remains approved. Vendors set availability (including blocked dates). Renters must hold a valid driving licence for the vehicle class, follow traffic law, and return the vehicle on time and in the agreed condition. Hosts may check licence and photo ID at pickup.
4. Bookings
A booking is created when you complete checkout. After successful online payment it remains pending until the vendor confirms. The vendor may reject an unpaid request, or reject a paid request (online amount returned within 48 hours). Confirmed trips become active when the vendor marks them active with handover photos (two to five images) and a note, and confirms any pickup cash has been collected. The vendor marks the trip completed on return. Exact pickup location is shown after host confirmation.
5. Payments, deposit, and payouts
Pricing may include hourly rates (short trips), daily rates, weekend multipliers, and long-term discounts as shown at checkout. Full payment: rent is paid online via PayU; the security deposit is due in cash at pickup. Partial payment: the platform advance (commission) is paid online; remaining rent and the deposit are due at pickup. Security deposits are not held or refunded by EasyRentWheels through PayU. Vendor earnings (full-rent mode) are credited after return/settlement; vendors request payouts after saving bank details. Partial mode treats the vendor’s remaining rent as collected offline at handover.
6. Extra charges, cancellation, and disputes
Hosts may add late-return or excess-km charges on the booking when the listing allows it. Renters may cancel according to the status shown in the product (unpaid vs paid vs confirmed). Failed or cancelled online payments do not keep the dates blocked. Use in-app dispute tools and booking chat for issues; EasyRentWheels may mediate but is not the insurer of the vehicle.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, EasyRentWheels is not liable for accidents, traffic fines, theft, or losses arising between renter and vendor beyond our dispute process. You use vehicles and roads at your own risk and must maintain required insurance as applicable to the listing.
